Lachlan was engaged by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection and Australian National University to film two Research Workshops in 2014.

The events formed part of the DIBP-ANU Collaborative Research Programme—a component of the Department’s broader Irregular Migration Research Programme designed to strengthen the evidence base on irregular migration.  During the course of the workshops, several Australian and international migration researchers who had been funded under the Irregular Migration Research Programme presented research findings to fellow academics and key government stakeholders.  Research had been commissioned to help inform policy deliberations in the area of irregular migration dynamics.  The collaborative partnership between the Department and ANU played a crucial role in building relationships between policy practitioners and academia.

Lachlan demonstrates the highest level of dedication and professionalism.  He understood the brief for this project perfectly, and also provided creative and post-production advice to ensure the final product was best tailored towards the intended audience.  Lachlan possesses incredible attention to detail (both visual and sound) in all phases—filming, editing and production.  He is also remarkably flexible, able to accommodate changes to filming schedules and manage technical difficulties which eventuate in filming locations.  Lachlan delivered a final product speedily following the conclusion of the workshop in both DVD and MP4 formats to assist with dissemination.  I highly recommend Lachlan for any film recording work, be that for professional or personal purposes.
